A 60-day voyage circling Australia was terminated following the fatal incident of an older lady who was left behind by the vessel on a remote coastal location.

The passenger had been walking on the remote island with fellow passengers from the Coral Adventurer, but separated from the group for a pause. The ship left without her and came back after some time after the ship staff became aware the lady was not present.

An extensive rescue mission found her remains the subsequent day.
